Abstract:
The Significance of Boundaries: Selected Essays from the Jao Tsung-I Culture Forum (2021–2022), published by the Commercial Press, is a compilation of selected academic outcomes from the 3rd (2021) and 4th (2022) Jao Tsung-I Culture Forum, held at Shenzhen University. The book is divided into five sections: The Significance of Boundaries and Philosophical Inquiry, Reinterpreting Classics and Exploring New Civilizations, Interdisciplinary and Theoretical Innovation, Humanities and Cultural Leadership in the Greater Bay Area, and Forum Summaries. These essays explore crucial issues such as the development of New Humanities from theoretical, methodological, and practical perspectives while embodying the Forum’s consistent themes of cultural innovation and civilizational dialogue.
